I have chosen 2 direct marking companies and I also have 6 websites with merchandise for sale. I borrowed money from credit card companies with the hopes of selling enough to make the payments and if not, I could pull out my retirement savings to pay off the cards. The companies I have chosen are reputable - Melaleuca and Big Planet - Nu Skin, Photomax. The way it works, is I purchase leads and contact them by e-mail and phone. If they are interested, forms are sent or data collected for their membership. People who join, also do the same thing. How much money they can make depends on how many people sign up under them and how much money they spend on product. I'm new, but it is easier to contact people this way than by calling on friends and family. They really may not want what I have to offer or they don't want to contact others. By using the internet, only people who are interested in a home busness are contacted. The data to show earnings are displayed so they can make a decision. They know it is a "numbers" game. The more they contact, the better the chances of signing - up more members. How is that different frow Wal Mark? They have entry level sales people who move up to department heads and then possible managers etc. to store managers or higher. They know that the better they are at meeting the customers needs, the better they become and the faster they move up the ranks. I had to leave the job at age 62 because of a disability. My Social Security benefit check finially was approved. $296.00/ month. My husband's SS is only a little over $1,000/month. I can stay home, on oxygen, and conduct a business. But if it is too regulated, I don't know how I can get leads. I can't get out much and people don't look at the product, all they see is the disability. But, on line, no one knows what I look like, they just know I give good service and coaching. My sales check come in evey month. As soon as they reach over $830/ month, I can stop the SS disability check. That will help save the government money and I can continue to earn a living, not an existance.
