Comments:
To the Federal Trade Commission, This FTC proposal is misdirected and will only have the effect of stifling legitimate Network Marketing businesses. It will be 'business as usual' for those companies or individuals who are out to 'take' the public and disregard the law anyway. Also, it endangers countless individuals both men and women by forcing them to divulge personal contact information to everyone. Can you imagine going to your neighborhood car dealer, cell phone store or electronics store and after deciding to buy that new car, cell phone or big screen TV only to be told 'take these documents home with you and after considering all the negative aspects of this sale, if you still feel the same way in 7 days you may then purchase it and take it home with you.' That would be absurd. The same thing applies to the Direct Selling/Network Marketing Industry. This FTC proposal does nothing to protect consumers and only further erodes the business potential of millions of honest, hard working businessmen and women. Thank you for your consideration.
