RE: Business Opportunity Rule R511993 Please forgive me for being passionate about this subject. It is not my intention to get personal with anyone reading this letter. I just want to get your attention! I am outraged by this proposed ruling. I see this as a CLEAR violation of our constitutional rights. Why is the FTC trying to regulate me and my family to have to wait 7days to apply to receive a product at wholesale price that is SAVING OUR LIVES? For what reason? To save someone the unbearable financial burden of $35? It is obvious that this proposed ruling was not MEANT to effect this particular company. Drive-by shootings are not MEANT to kill people that are not intended targets...BUT THEY DO! If the FTC is REALLY concerned about helping people....they would be more specific about targeting problem offenders rather than just lumping all Direct Marketing companies together. This is the business equivalent of 'racism'. Think about it....why is ONE particular INDUSTRY being targeted? Why not specific COMPANIES? This move is completely illogical. Even our MILITARY is very careful at taking out strategic targets rather than just blowing up everything and killing innocents! When you read this particular proposed rule again....I want you to think about how many people have been HURT by: Avon, Mary Kay, XanGo, Herbal Life, Meleleuca, Arbonne, Shaklee, etc. Next, I want you to think about how many people WILL be HURT financially when you take away the income received by these businesses......$29 Billion per year! Do you know how many retired people are surviving because of these industries? Ultimately your proposed ruling will result in DEATHS! Yes, DEATHS....did you know about the charitable contributions of these companies? XanGo ALONE donates MILLIONS of dollars annually to Operation Kids....a blanket children's charity. You will indirectly be TAKING MONEY AWAY FROM CHILDREN IN NEED if you cost us even ONE PENNY in business! This proposed ruling and my letter need to be read by people with children! People with compassion that will realize what the magnitude of this 'little rule' will do need to read this letter and try to sleep tonight knowing what could happen here. If you have a loved one that is suffering from a severe health problem, think about what a 7 day delay could mean. What if it was you? Sincerely, Dennis Chaffee
