Hi, It is wonderful that the FCC is working at protecting the public from fraud in the Direct Selling business. Thank you very much. It would be my hope that the FCC would reconsider some of the points they are trying to use to do this with as the impact of these points on legitimate business' in this field would be devestating not only to me personally, but also to the industry as a whole. Such as: The 7 day waiting period. One of the most important aspects of direct selling is enthusiam for the product that can be transfered to the customer. To have to wait 7 days to even sign up or get a product would cause even the memory of why they wanted it in the first place to be forgotten. This one ruling could stop all new perspective customers and distributors as it causes one to think that there must be something really wrong to have to wait that long in this day and age of instant gratification and response. Please, please reconsider this poiint, this one point could stop all direct selling. Thank you all very much. Also the references of the "10 nearest existing sales people" is completely impractical and a paper nightmare for me and for the company. It is also very scary in regards to privacy and safety issues. It is like giving a small data base to anyone interested. References should ony need to be given when requested and a maxium of 3 would be plenty. It could also open us all to identity theft. Please also reconsider this point too. Thank you all. One of the main reasons I was able to take advantage of this wonderful product from Xango was because of its reasonable cost to become part of their company as a distributor. If it has been a lot higher, it would have been a big burden and probably I would not have been able to do it. Please also reconsider this point, thank you all again. I have been in direct selling business' for over 25 years and it has been a great help to me not only financially but in meeting new friends and helping me personally to become less shy and more open to people and receptive to their issues and situations. It has been a most enjoyable opportunity in many ways for me. It has also let me learn of new products available through my many contacts which has been of great benefit to me and my family's and friends health issues. For the company to have to collect earnings records and possibly the reporting of all litigation would cause extra cost which would probably be passed on to the consumer, which would then make it less available to some consumers. Please reconsider that the majority of these business' are legitmate and do a great service to humanity. There must be some way to treat them fairly while also protecting the innocent consumer. Thank you for the opportunity for giving my input on this extremely important issue to me and humanity. Sincerely, J King
