Comments:
The person or parties that developed this proposed regulation obviously have little to no knowledge of the direct marketing industry. This industry as a whole has few scammers, yet the FTC proposal would create havoc in this industry to hopefully curb the activity of those few. A few scoundrels exist in every facet of society. Even with this proposed regulation the crooks will appear, grab some peoples money, and disappear into the woodwork. They will change their M.O. and do it again and again until caught and punished under existing law. In my 43 years in this industry I have not seen anything that would be gained by this proposed burden on the hundreds of thousands of honest men and women that do it right. I request this totally wasteful proposal be withdrawn!
