July 14, 2006 Federal Trade Commission To Whom It May Concern: I feel very concerned about the proposed legislation regarding Independent Business Owners (IBO's). I have carefully read the one-page version of this legislation and can see how it would handicap---and possibly destroy---the Legacy business by taking away the freedoms that we now enjoy in building the business; also, by heaping upon us unnecessary and burdensome restrictions. I am new in this business, having registered just after Thanksgiving of 2005. I had been investigating the business for at least a month, and although I now know a great deal more about the business than I did then, I am definitely of the opinion that my sponsors provided me with adequate information so that I knew what I was getting into. Likewise, as I seek prospective IBO's, I do not rush them but, instead, share with them the wealth of information available to me. If I cannot answer one of their questions, I contact one (or more) of my support team members to obtain the desired information. Furthermore, I generously share with new members my own experience with the company, including financial information, so they will know what to expect. I don't want them to be unpleasantly surprised in any way. PLEASE reconsider passing this legislation as I fear that the main result will be a major hazard to Independent Business Owners like me. IT WILL NOT DETER DISHONEST INDIVIDUALS FROM PURSUING THEIR NEFARIOUS GOALS. With sincere conceer, (Mrs.) Linnea Olsen (
