my name is carol jeslis. i have been an ibo with quixtar and amway since 1993. i have enjoyed owning my own business and building it at my own pace. regarding certain proposals that are being considered to be enacted, i feel this way: 1) i would not appreciate the 7 day waiting period. many times people are very willing to register immediately and not being able to do so would certainly diminish the growth and profitability of an ibo's business. 2 ) i would not like having to provide a list of local ibo's to my prospects to contact before they registered as an ibo. i certainly would not like my privacy violated by having any other ibo furnish my name, address and phone number to any person they are considering as a prospect, either. generally, prospects attend meetings where other ibo's attend and at that time they can personally ask them any questions that they may have. 3) i don't think it is necessary to disclose what i earn personally from my ibo business---just as i would not desire to disclose my income from any particular job i have or any other type of business i might own. it is only necessary to inform what is possible that they might earn if they decide to build their own ibo business. 4) i think having to list a litigation list of all types of quixtar and ibo litigation for the past ten years is ludicrous.
