Federal Trade Commission Office of the Secretary Room H-135 (Annex W) 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20580 Re: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 I am writing to express my concerns with the FTC's proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I became an Herbalife Independent Distributor in 1983, when my 56 year old husband almost died of being 100 lbs. overweight. A Doctor in Philadelphia, PA recommended Herbalife products, he then lost 100 lbs. in 11 months and lived to be 74. I am 79 years young, in good health and I have been using and selling these fantastic health products for 23 years. My husband lost his real estate business and we were bankrupt. The sheriff was at my door twice to take away our home. My husband and I shared the health and financial benefits with everyone. We were able to save our home and I am still living in it today. The provisions of R511993 would make it almost impossible to continue my business. I am proud that at 79, I am able to work from my kitchen table. The provisions outlined in the FTC proposed rule would cause several problems including the invasion of privacy which violates the Privacy Act. The majority of purchasers who come into contact with me already know the advantages of Herbalife products and the befefits to them. In 23 years of doing my Herbalife business, I have inspired many people to see the benefits of good health and financial security. The agency needs to reevaluate the Business Opportunity Rule R511993. We (customers and myself) fail to see any consumer fraud both as an entrepreneur or consumer. Sincerely, Conny Choseed
