This comment is written in reference to Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I have been directly involved with the direct sales industry on a part-time basis for nearly 12 years. The sales and motivational training I have received during this time has added much benefit to my full time occupation as a CPA. The supplemental income I've earned has also helped provide for my family. I am against Business Opportunity Rule R511993 for the following reasons: It would be difficult to identify the nearest 10 product purchasers in a given area. One of the benefits of a direct selling business is that it is very portable. Since it is portable, many times I solicit customers while travelling, even on an airplane. I can't imagine the added burden of having to identify 10 people in an area in a situation such as the one mentioned. Also, a seven day waiting period would also be disadvantageous. When I shop for a product in a local mall, grocery store or shopping center, I want that product instantly. I would not want to have to wait seven days to purchase a gallon of milk from my local grocer. In the same way, my customers want my product as soon as they can get it. A seven day waiting period would prove to be burdensome to my business efforts and I feel would have a negative impact on our economy. I am against Business Opportunity Rule R511993 and hope it doesn't pass. Sincerely, Donnie Johnson
