Dear Sir or Madam: I am VERY concerned aobut the proposed Rule R511993. I could write a long letter, but my concerns are as follows: -In its present form this ruling could prevent me from continuing and growing my business. The waiting period give the impression that there might be something wrong with our company or compensation plan. -I have been able to quit my full time job as Director of Sales for an Event Center. I have no desire to return to 60 hour work weeks for less money than I make now! -the 7 day waiting period is far too long and unnecessary. Our company's start up cost is a mere $99 and is 90% refundable! Heavens! People spend more on dog food or a tank of gas! The added record keeping with this will also be excessive. -All lawsuits, regardless of outcome, need to be reported whether the company is at fault or not...common sense should tell you that is silly! -And finally with today's identity theft issues, I do not wish to make know the identity of 10 purchasers nearest to the prospective purchaser. It will also be time consuming and can deplete the new person's enthusiasm...which is key to getting a good start. -I appreciate what the FTC does, but this new rule the way it is written is burdensome and there are surely better ways to solve the issues that a very, very small amount of people have caused. There are million of direct sales people in this country and to punish the greater majority for the sins of a few seems a bit over board. Most direct sales companies are founded on high principles and ethics and generally take care of the ones 'breaking the rules'. I have been able to quit a job that required me to work very long hours...and in just a year my team has grown to 30 plus women...all of whom share the same dream. Of working a job they love and of supporting their families. Please go back to the drawing board with this ruling as it will very negatively affect millions of people's lively hood the way it is written today. Most people thinking about starting with a direct sales company do their own due diligence and when that is done, we know they'll be pleased with what they find out about lia sophia. Thank for your time in considering my comments! Cindy Fontaine
