I as a consultant and leader with Tastefully Simple Gourmet foods am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I believe that in its present form, it could prevent me from successfully operating my business as a direct seller of Tastefully Simple products. I understand that your mission is to protect the public from unfair and deceptive acts or practices. However, some of the sections in the proposed rule will make it very difficult for me to sell Tastefully Simple products and help others start Tastefully Simple businesses of their own. My family depends on my income from my home business and Tastefully Simple has allowed me the flexibility to stay at home with my 3 young children while providing such income. I ask that you look more carefully at the wording of the proposal because this will effect so many direct sellers in a primarily self-employed women workforce.
