I have been an Independent Business Owner with Quixtar for just under 1 year. I have found the people I work with to be highly ethical and have the strongest of morals. I was not allowed to sign up as an IBO until I had all the information I needed about this opportunity. I follow the code of personal and work ethics closely when talking to a prospect. I do not allow anyone to sign up unless they know exactly what they are doing. I make it clear to them that this is not a get rich quick business. It takes a lot of work and personal growth. Prospects are only required to spend about $70 for the government's required business license. If they so choose they can spend about another $90 for additional literature which is fully refundable. It is made very clear that this is not a requirement. I have been taught by my business mentors to be honest and trustworthy in all personal and business ventures and I am. I do not agree with a seven day waiting period before prospects can sign up. Once they have the information necessary to make an informed decision they should be allowed to sign up immediatly. This business allows people to start earning money right away. If prospects are made to wait to sign up and then wait to start getting their group to sign up in will cut into their profits. This will affect their belief in themselves and a business that works! I do not agree with giving references to prospects. My home address and number are private. I should be the one to choose to whom that information is given. I know that the group I work with is honest and trustworthy but I do not know what groups other IBO's may come from in my area. I do not want my prospects signing up with them when I know my prospects will get better training from myself and my group. That would cut into my profit! The section on giving litigation for the past 10 years to prospects is unclear. Does it mean litigation against Quixtar? Myself? My business? This information can be found with the Better Business Bureau. I looked it up myself before I signed up with Britt World Wide and Quixtar. I do not agree with forcing IBO's to disclose their income. I have the right to not tell people how much I make as a teacher why not as an IBO? My finances are private. I should choose to whom I give that information. If a prospect askes outright I do choose to answer honestly and truthfully as I have been trained by my parents and business mentors. I do not feel it necessary to force this matter on IBO'S. Thank you for your time and effort in taking my views under advisement. I trust that together we will be able to create a law that will protect prospects and Quixtar IBO's at the same time. Sincerely, Terese Danville Quixtar IBO
