I am an independent business owner from the Quixtar organization. I am at the 2500PV level, which is equivalent to $6,200++/month in business volume. I decided to become apart of this business model to take my families financial future into my own hands. I have been linked up with my fellow business owners and mentors for approximately 16 months. I am writing this letter, because I believe it is an excellent idea to create rules to rid our enterprise system of fraudulant businesses and pyramid schemes that exist. Obvioulsy Quixtar is a first class organization, and teaches it's busines owners to conduct business by using their ethics and with integrity. There are numerous websites, rating companies, and businesses which praise the Quixtar organization for it's success not only in the health and beauty industry (22.5% of online market share), but also in customer service, overall sales, attractiveness, hits per day (40 million++), debt (we're debt free), and it's uniqe system of business ownership through private franchising. With all of this information available directly from the Quixtar website, providing links to these credible sources, I see no problem for prospects to do their due dilligence and research on our business opportunity. I provide all of my prospects the same type of information that my sponsor provided me, indluding all of the information above, plus a large amount of additional information. I had plenty of information when I registered to make an informed decision, plus the time I needed to discuss this opportunity with successful family members and mentors previously in my life. I took 3-4 weeks to look over all of the details very thoroughly, with no pressure to, "get in" from my sponsor whatsoever. He just continued to answer my questions and was patient with me. Now, I continue to follow the same process with my prospects. Although I did take several weeks to register with Quixtar, I do not believe future prospects should have to wait 7 days to register, especially because of our 6 month, 100% money back guarantee option to cancel form the start date. I have had several business owners start the business with me, than after time, they realized it was not for them, and the company totally reimbursed them for their start-up costs, as they always keep their word (#1 online customer service website, ranked by Harris Pole). Also, I strongly disagree with providing the prospects with 10 business owner's contacts in their local area. This would not work for several reasons: 1. Current IBO's do not want to be solicited by prospects, with questions that their potential sponsor should be anwering. 2. Those 10 Contacts could easily take the prospects information, and attempt to bring them into their own organization. The line of sponsorship that has been established in the Quixtar organization, is very important, and should not be threatened by this rule. 3. Not everyone builds the business for the same reasons, and not everyone has a strong enough work ethic to truly succeed. I do not want my motivated, ambitious prospect to be turned off by somebody who is inexperienced or who is lazy and makes the business look like it doesn't work, when obviously it does. Also some people expect the rewards without the work, I don't want my prospects hearing from them. I appreciate your time in evaluating my letter. Please consider these thoughts, because this decision the FTC makes will be very impactful to thousands of real people's lives and their income. I do hope your ruling will eliminate the illegal scams that extist, but please remember the Quixtar organization is very legitimate, and some of the FTC's ideas may prohibit our reputable company to continue in the successful direction we are heading. Thank you for your time and consideration. Chris Gehman Quixtar Business Owner
