To Whom it May Concern: I am NOT in support of the proposed changes to direct selling businesses. I have been working on my buisness for about three years and have been asked to join mulitple other direct selling companies. I feel that what the FTC is trying to do is very good in some areas, but handicaps us in other areas. I do think that there needs to be a uniform way to sign someone into a direct selling company. I do not think that you should have to get references from other IBO's. This makes it even more difficult. No other company in the US has to give a perspective employee references from other employees at that company. The company would tell the interviewing employee to "take a hike". The other topic is the rule of putting out all lawsuits within the past 10 years. That takes too much time. Again, what other company has to do that. I recently read that Wal-Mart gets sued every 2 hours. There are currently about 9,000 lawsuits against Wal-Mart. What if Wal-Mart had to post their lawsuits over the past 10 yrs. We would be here all day having to explain every little detail. The reason I am so excited about this business is that it teaches me how to be a business owner. These businesses are so much more than direct selling; they are life changing. Please do not change the this proposal. Thanks
