Federal Trade Commission Title: Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Subject Category: Business Opportunity Rule CFR Citation: 16 CFR Part 437 Re. this proposal. I have been an Independent Business owner with Quixtar ( formally Amway) for about 12 years. I have personally been rewarded first off by great products and services, including shipping of items , and by the support system which has been in place for many years. The support system give you everything you need to know to learn how to have a profitable business, and helps you to grow and develop as a person. Noone has ever been told that this is a get rich quick business, and know that hard work is involved. Anyone that joins the business does not need 7 days to wait to decide if this business is right for them, they can receive a full refund of any products ordered, if they return them, whether they have been used and/or opened. Support materials for the business has always been optional for all IBO's. Waiting 7 days would not benefit a new IBO who is ready to get started, and would definitely slow down their efforts if they had to wait another 7 days to sign up anyone else. This does not make since especially since all IBO's are well informed of the opportunity, through support materials, their sponser, questions answered via phone or internet. It is not necessary to tell new IBO's how much you make, because they can make more than you, if they do more work. They can read the printed materials regarding profitable IBO's if they want to see individuals that are profitable. New IBO's can meet other new IBO's and long term IBO's at local meetings and can ask them about the business.
