I wholeheartedly agree that some rules need to be established to furnish guidelines for multi-level businesses so that the get -rich quick scams will be weeded out!! Reviewing the FTC proposals above, however, scares me---it is truly quite evident that the authors of this proposal neither know, nor have they sought input into how direct sales / multilevel companies work ( or at least should work ) if they are legit I have been in the same multilevel company for over 20 years, and i know them to be morally, & ethically run. Folloeing are my comments on your proposals as currently written.Problem 1. 7day wait. Sugg. Eliminate...Person registering can get a full refund at anytime for any reason currently! Problem 2. List of references. Freedom of information i feel would be breached by this very unlearned however well intentioned rule. I do not feel that I , nor anyone that I know, would honor this !!!! Problem 3. Litigation history. Why not make all businesses, stores included, tell every customer of their litigation history at every purchase ???!? Does this not sound foolish, and possibly poorly thought out??? SIMPLY, ELIMINATE IT!!!! Problem 4. INCOME DISCLOSURE Information currently supplied at the time of business explanation in written form as currently required by the FTC. My current income is my private business and is protected by the privacy law. Also, what the IBO that is showing the business opportunity makes has no bearing on what the prospect can or will make!! Again possible and average figures are given -in writing- at the time of the opportunity presentation. PROBLEM 5 PROVIDE PROSPECTS WITH YOUR PERSONAL FINANCIAL DOCUMENTATION. You simply eliminate this. PERSONAL PRIVACY IS PROTECTED--JUST CHECK OUT U. S. LAW. Simply ELIMINATE as this is just an ill thought out , unnecessary attempt to curtail personal businessopportunities.. SUGGESTION___TALK TO PEOPLE THAT ARE INVOLVED IN LEGIT. BUSINESSES AND GET INPUT!!!!!!
