I have had a direct selling business for 25 years with Shaklee Corp. These regulations as purposed would possess a serious impediment to my offering other people the opportunity to be a part of my business. Most of my people come into Shaklee to purchase products at a discount. (Member). At some point down the road they realize these are terrific products and wish to share (sell) them to friends and family. It would be very difficult it I had to tell them NO. Not until the company does a search to determine who else may have recently done the same thing. With the advent of the internet those people could be anywhere. I believe the purposal wording indicates people in the same area?? Also I would have to tell the new person that their name and contact information will be given out to anyone else who wishes to join Shaklee to sell products. Many of the older folks that I deal with would be very reluctant to sign up knowing that their personal information will be given out to other people signing up. Your own Privicy Statement says you try to keep our personal information private. But you want us to give it out to the world for new people coming into out business. I I have people in all parts of the country and they would be marketing to people all over the country. Area has very little bearing on who you market to. I I do not see how this purposal benifits anyone and creates more costs for the company and therefore me. This is a wonderful opportunity and should be available to anyone. While I understand there are companies out there who take advantage of other peoples lack of knowledge that will always be the case. Those companies or people will find a way around your rules. Only the good guys suffer from you ruling. Please consider leaving the market place alone. You can not protect everyone from everything. There are risks in life as well as business. Please do not increase the burden on our company. This is my retirement income and that of many other folks. As we grow at least some people will not be dependant on Social Secruity and Medicare in the future.
