Dear Sir or Madam, I appreciate the FTC's consumer protection priorities, however, I am very concerned over the impact of the above: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 on legitimite direct selling companies. First and second, imposing a 7day waiting period and elimination of the $500 business threshold is totally unnessary for a small $35 Xango Distributor Startup fee. There are less restrictive rules on buying much larger ticket items such as TV's, Automobiles, & Real Estate. Plus, it will send a negative signal to the public about my business, product, and me. And, we already have a 100% satisfaction gaurantee buyback policy. Finally, the proposed rule requires the disclosure of a minimum of 10 prior purchasers nearest to the prospective purchaser. I am glad to provide references, but in this day of identity theft, I am very uncomfortable giving out the personal information of individuals (without their approval) to strangers. Besides I am sure it would raise some legal issues. In closing I just want to say that we all know there are good and bad companies in every type of working industry. I recently chose to work in this industry full time because of the many benefits it is providing for me and my family. Health Related Benefits due to prevention against the major diseases that attack 2/3rds of americans. Benefits such as personal development in public speaking and presentation skills. And more importantly, priceless benefits such as spending more time with my wife and children. If it was not for this industry there would not be a Xango with a solid product, solid company infrastructure, and a solid financial future for those who have the passion to work for it. That is what America is about, right? I am requesting that this rule not be passed. Thank you in advance for your careful and favorable consideration of my request. Sincerely, Cary Zinn
