To whom it may concern, I have just begun my personal franchise with the Quixtar bussiness opportunity. I know that this new proposed rule will result in a positive change in the direct selling/multi-level marketing business. The positive is that all of the small "under the radar" companies will have regulations on them now, and will have to play in a level playing field. From what I understand, Quixtar has been operating under state guidelines for some time now and is a business with lots of integrity. However some of the parameters of the proposed rule are disconcerning. The first being that a business builder prospect would have to wait seven days before registering in our business when it is fully refundable. I hope that you consider eliminating the waiting period for opportunities that allow people to cancel with a refund within a set satisfaction window. Also the list of lawsuits that are to be given is kind of silly, I've never found a job where they strait up tell you during the interview that they have been falsly or properly sued in the past. Nor have I found a car dealership, store or any dealership of any kind disclosing such information. Not that I'm a stock market investor but do they have that on their stat sheet? Next the Idea of every prospect of someone I know and vice versa having my address from the rule of having to disclose names and addresses of 10 IBO's is just freaky, please don't take my privacy with that section. I know that there is a negative wrap on companies with similar business models, but that is because they make their money from recruiting and have buy in levels of the business which is just economically and ethically wrong. The other negative is the leadership in a particular "personal franchise" is subject to humans that are trying to earn money and granted a few have been quite shady and the such, I believe that the World Wide Dreambuilders group is the greatest bunch of business people i have associated with in a bussiness venture. Thank you for your time and effort to help the masses like myself and I applaud your decision to regulate this industry to effectively keep it on the up and up.
