Dear Commission Members: I would like to give some feedback to you on many areas concerning Business Opportunities. I have been an Independent Business Owner for 2 years. I am working with the TEAM and we use Quixtar as our e-commerce hub. When I registered, I had more than enough information to make my decision. Nothing was hidden at all. I have carried that practice when I am out showing our business plan and sponsoring others. I knew when I got started and people that I speak to also know that this is not a "get rich quick scheme", work is involved in it, and we all have to change a little bit to get better in our plans to work toward improving our lives. Our registration cost is approximately $250. NONE of this fee, not one penny goes to me when I help to register someone. It goes towards the registration costs, access to two websites, purchase of usuable products and a book. We are very proud that there is no sign-up fee or commission that goes to us, that is not what we are about. On the seven day waiting period. This is not needed, since there is a money back guarentee. If someone gets started and they find out this is not for them - we have fully refunded their money when this has happened in the past and will continue to do so in the future. The seven days of waiting will get in the way of people being excited about this opportunity and will do more harm than any good. About providing references - we do this already, but we do it in person. We don't share anybody's personal information, we let people meet people and talk to them, ask any questions they want. They are not limited to meeting only certain people, they can speak with anybody on our team. Sharing this kind of data with people is a violation of privacy and is not needed. The information on providing litigation examples - that is not what we are about. There are negative influences in every industry out there. Our group is not one of the negative ones out there. If there are people that ask about litigation - we are built on honesty and integrity. If they want to find the information, we will try and help find out the truth for them to make their decision. The specific earnings disclosure - we already share with the average IBO earnings per month. Everyone is in this business for many different reasons. Some want to earn a few extra hundred dollars a month, others want more. It would be very inappropriate for anyone to give examples of what others make in ANY industry, let alone this one. Can you imagine that a doctor asking other doctors what he or she will be making in 10 years?? That the other doctors MUST tell them what they make? There are so many variables that come into play there. An individuals drive, determination, work ethic, reasons for working, family issues, etc., all come into play in any industry. This "Business" has made a ton of differnece in my life. It is so much more than a business opportunity. My family is already better off and will be in our future. Please take into account the fact that just because there are a few bad apples out there (in all industries), you cannot change the rules or punish others for their problems. Thanks for reading my comments - I look forward to reading about the great ideas that come from your committee. Thanks for your support in our industry. We pride ourselves on doing it the right way and will continue to do so in the future.
