I have been involved with Quixtar/Amway for aprox. 15 years. I love the people, atmosphere, leadership teaching, goal setting and the money. I love what this business association has done for me personally - I am more confident and more at peace in my life because of it. I agree with the purpose of this ruling - to make sure people are informed about starting in business. People should be informed about who they are getting in business with. I believe a waiting period would only slow business down and not be beneficial to the prospect. It would hurt legitimate businesses and the bogus ones will find a way around it. Perhaps instead of a waiting period, there could be a Refund Period. Total refund within a set number of days. For income claims, I like the way Quixtar has documented the, 'an average active IBO earns...'. That could be made a rule for all companies to disclose. This would be company wide rather than personal income. It could be a requirement to be averaged by an outside lawyer or CPA. I wish there was a way to list people who start a bogus or scam-type company. They ride it until it is caught, then start another one. It would be very good for the general public to be made aware of that information. Thanks for your consideration - Emily Huff
