FTC, I am business owner for 2+ years now living in the Omaha metro area, and a respected member of the community for my involvement with Quixtar. My involvement with the team I work with has bettered my life in countless ways besides monetarily! Most importantly I have been able to communicate better with family, relatives, and friends, and that is because of the positive association and the books that I have read! I strongly disagree with many aspects of the FTC Proposal, but specifically it would be detrimental to require every business owner to provide a list of 10 references in the area for several reasons. First and foremost I don't know a single business owner, or anyone for that matter, that would find it to be accecptable to have their personal information floating around out in the public for anyone to use! Secondly my team builds business with accountability and integrity as cornerstones, and this would seriously take the foundation out from under building my business! Nobody should have to say - Here you go Mr. 'Prospect' just in case you don't trust me here are my references that I am a good person! - I believe that faith, trust, and honesty are something that a person exudes and resonates from them! Lastly if anyone is serious about becoming a part of my business team, they will first and foremost see and talk with my actual team, and others that are a part of different teams in the area. Thank you for providing a way to voice my opinion, it is much appreciated! I pray that the FTC will reconsider their Proposal. Thanks again.
