I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I believe that in its present form, it could prevent me from successfully operating my business as a direct seller of Tastefully Simple products. I understand that your mission is to protect the public from unfair and deceptive acts or practices. However, some of the sections in the proposed rule will make it very difficult for me to sell Tastefully Simple products and help others start Tastefully Simple businesses of their own. People should be able to make an informed choice. Instead of passing the bill, make information available to people so they can research the companies they are interested in joining instead. Is there any way to set up an endorsement of some sort of companies, for example, like all the ones who are members of the Direct Selling Association? Before I investigated any direct sales company, I was smart enough to check with the DSA website to make sure the company I was interested in was a member. Couldn't you make a recommendation that people check with the DSA to make sure companies are members? It's not fair to penalize the "good" companies because of "bad" ones. There must be an easier way. Please feel free to contact me as I do have more ideas on how to change the process. Thank you for your time and attention!
