I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993 because I believe in it's present form it could prevent me from continuing my small business as a XanGo Distributor. I have been a distributor for 1 year and although my earnings are not yet sufficient to live on independently, they are growing steadily and the proposed waiting period will definitely stop my ability to grow my business- it will give the appearance that there is something 'wrong' with my product. This is completely unfair and the burden of record keeping would severely decrease my profits. In order to sign up for my product, a person pays $35.00. This is extremely minimal amount- yet other businesses requiring hundreds and/or thousands of dollars from the purchaser have no such requirements. How can this be viewed as 'fair'? Also, the proposed rule of supplying the closest 10 geographical prior purchasers would certainly be a questionable confidentiality issue- especially in this day of identity theft- I wonder if you would like your name/address released to anyone that wanted to inquire about a product??? While I appreciate the concerns that prompted this action, the current proposal will not address the issues it is designed for- dishonest people will simply supply false information and continue to 'scam' people- yes they hurt my legitimate business, but they will not shut me down. This proposal will. Thank you for reconsidering this action. Ardith Scheer Independent Distributor for XanGo(tm)
