First let me say that since becoming an Independent Business Owner with Quixtar my life has changed dramatically for the better. I'm not just talking financially, because frankly I'm not making that much money yet. At this point, I'm impressed with the people that I have met and the attitude towards finances and business that I have learned in the last year. This is not a "Get Rich Quick" scheme and that was made very clear at the very beginning. What it is, is an opportunity to be in business for myself without having to take out a large business loan and quit my day job. My initial investmentment was less than $200 and my monthly expedentures are around $150. I have gained a better understanding of business, which has helped me in my everyday life both personally & professionally. Should the regulations pass that you have proposed, it would severally limit my business growth. People are already so suspicious that the proposed regulations would scare away the majority of the people that I contact and take away their opportunity to change their lives for the better. I would like to see some type of regulations so the fraudulant companies out there that are making the legitimate businesses look bad cease to exist, however a blanket 7 day waiting period as well as the listing of all lawsuits etc. over the last 10 year period is ridiculous. This would negatively affect peoples overall opinion and anyone with or without merit can file a lawsuit.
