I first saw this business opportunity several years ago although I did not take advantage of it at that time. I did however keep in contact with several of my friends who opted to begin their independent Quixtar business. After seeing actual checks they had received as revenue sharing from their business with Quixtar, I began my own business through the Quixtar opportunity. Up front, I was told that this would require a time commitment for success and was simple but NOT easy because it requires work. One of the first printed materials I read after becoming involved stressed the requirement to build my busines "with integrity and accountability". In fact, that is a core element of the training which , by the way, is constantly being reiterated as "optional". In no way am I expected or required to purchase anything, including my own products. There is a formula for success and I am witnessing literally hundreds of people (face to face- regular working people like me at optional functions available for my training if I choose ) who are succeeding in their independent business through Quixtar. I have personally seen checks made out to those people who are friends of mine, however, I highly disagree that this should be a requirement. I am just starting my own business with Quixtar and have had much success in building relationships and educating myself and others on where to find accurate facts and information about the opportunity. If I were required to show them a check, at this early stage of business made out to me, it would be for $11.75. This is no representation at all of the long-term income potential. In fact, much like a traditional business owner, I simply framed that first check as a reminder of how very real and properly structured this opportunity at Quixtar IS. For example, I have registered one young man in business who is already further along than I am. This is an equal playing field. He is persuing customers and I am not. I am not paid for his work, as in some type of pyramid scheme (or like a corporate structure) He is paid for his work, and only if I have my own structure in place do I receive the benefits of helping him become successful at business. All of this information was laid out to me when the business opportunity was shared with me, just as I am required to share the facts with anyone I show the business opportuinty to. If I, having been in business just three months now, had to give a new prospect 10 contacts, they would be for people I don't know very well and whom may very well sponsor my contact in business because not everyone DOES act with good character...in ANY business. On the other side, I don't want my information given to every Tom, Dick and Harry who may become someone's prospect. I am a single mother, my address and the safety of my children are at stake with such a rule. I could not be in business today without the structure of Quixtar. The integrity, and gaurantee system is unprecedented in any business opportunity I've seen. It cost me less than $180 to get in business, and that is still refundable to me for another three months from today. Despite the fact that the products which were sent with that registration have all been used already. I love the products, I have always had access to ALL the facts, history and company details. Please do not overlook the uniqueness of the Quixtar business opportunity as we also want to see regulations stopping the scams and schemes which prey upon the very people who are really searching for something like Quixtar. Study this business, Please! It is an opportunity that will be affected negatively if the FTC makes sweeping regulations rather than carefully designed and educated rules structured to keep legitamate business opportunities available to people like me who could not have a traditional business nor would I want one. Please take care in creating the laws we all wish to see put in place to protect us. Tavia
