Dear FTC Commissioners, I would have handwritten this except I just found out about it and the time constraint so here is my e mail letter. I have been an independent sales rep in one form or another for 10+ years. I DISAGREE VEHEMENTLY WITH BUSINESS OPP RULE R511993. I OPPOSE THE 7 DAY WAIT RULE. THE LITIGATION INFORMATION, THE REFERENCES....!!! While I appreciate the FTC's intent and their effort, these proprosed rules would make it virtually impossible for the individual to conduct business and stay in business. We are so heavily regulated as it is with record keeping it is hard enough already! This is my livelihood, I conduct it in an ethical manner, unlike some of the big corporations. I came to this after being caught in the corporate world downsizing more than once! Where would I go next? Walmart???We hear small business is the backbone of this country, why cripple that?
