I am writing in regards to the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. My spouse is an independent consultant of Tastefully Simple products. In its current form R511993 would make it very difficult for her to run her home business. The specific sections dealing with waiting periods for recruiting new consultants would have a tremendous negative impact on the success of her business. I appreciate the work of the FTC to protect consumers, but I believe this proposed new rule has many unintended consequences and that there are less burdensome alternatives available in achieving the FTC's goals.
