To whom it may concern: My wife and I have been Independent Business Owner for the last 12 years in a row. First in the old Amway business and then in the Quixtar business. We've reached the 25% level since 1995, and qualified as a Founders platinum in several occasions. So far my wife Juanita has retired from her banking job to be a full time mom, wife and partner. And I have been able to quit a couple of part time jobs as a computer programmer. We have our eyes set on our next goal to be Emerals next year. This may mean that I can dedicate more time to my 3 kids and my wife. Regarding the proposed rules, this is how I feel about it: 1. 7 days waiting period. We can only sponsored people 18 years or older. This is America. Do people have to wait to buy stocks and bonds in Wall Street? Should their freedom to start their own business be conditioned? This will slow down our rate of sponsoring new people. Since this is a referral based business, a month will go by before four relatives can get in. 2. To provide 10 references. This would be like a lawyer to be required that a client has to talk to 10 different lawyers before he/her is allowed to handle his/her case. Any of those lawyers would be more than happy to steal the client. Even though we are working the same business model, each individual is in business on his own. I don't want my prospect to be in talk with another owner that would be happy to register him. 3. Provide a litigation list. Large retail companies will be very if we vanish from the market place. Such a requierement will put us in the hands of mercenaries. So many complains and sues will be hard to keep up with, that such a rule will make it impractical. That unless you are trying to finish off our industry. 4. Income disclosure. Our company provide us with a written document with the average incomes for the different levels in our business. I understand the figures in it are checked by you the FTC in a yearly basis. It would be better that prospect would be required to get into your web site and read that what I am saying about the income potential, is supported by you. 5. Income substantiation. I agree that you rule that if I say how much I am making, I have to support that claim with proper proof in the event that a prospect asked me to. By the way, we are only allowed to unvail our own earnings. I can not disclose the income of another person. Not following that rule can close my business. If the company finds out. I appreciate the opportunity given to explain myself and I do hope that something good comes out of your efforts to keep our industry clean of not so well intentioned people. But to rule to hurt well intentioned business owners, can't be. Regards. Danilo & Juana Dilia Olivo  Quixtar IBO# 1739186 Founders Platinum
