Dear FTC, thank you for making an effort to keep legitimate businesses going. I'm QUIXTAR IBO. I'm so proud to be a part of this fantastic opportunity, being surrounded with the best possible leaders in the world. I truly love the business and am building my own. I have been an IBO for about 3 years. The business has changed my life for the best. I'm so greatful to have been ever introduced in to something as great as this. The idea of home based business really fits me and proved to be great. Shortly after I was introduced (saw a presentation of the business plan) I signed up. I made my decision on the amount of information I have been given. All of my questions were answered with politeness and acuracy. I duplicate the same pattern when registering and helping others signing up. My prospect are well aware that this opportunity, although, anybody can enter, is not a get rich quick scheme. I explain to great detail, that this business building takes time, effort, hard work, but is a legitimate way to make business. There are no quarantees of succes. My prospects are free to ask any questions and/or visit quxtar website for more information. Prospect is encouraged to visit BBB website, or FTC for that matter to find out all the fact about the opportunity. I have info on all the websites available for prospects to take and do the research. The registration fee is about $60 and any additional expenses combined with purchasing the products are added. Everything in our business is money-back quarantee, so if the prospect decide later, they are promptly refunded the money they paid. Few comments on the proposed rules: 7-day waiting period. This rule can seriously slow down the momentum we are trying to achieve in registering the prospects. Prospects can take the time to be totally sure they know all the important info before registering. However, many times this is way shorter than 7 days. I do not see any benefits to this 7-day rule, maybe just the opposite. The prospects that decide the business maybe not for them, but like the product, usually register immediately, why wait? There is also a profitability issue- the rule would cause a loss of business. ...To provide references. Well, I'm sorry, but this is a serious impediment on any opportunity. Many prospect still feel uncomfortable when starting their businesses, let alone share their information with people they do not know. I could also loose a prospect, who can find out of their friend being registered and now wanting to register with him/her although I have presented the opportunity and did all the work. This rule seems somewhat anti-privacy. Prospects do have time, resources and information to find out about the legitimacy of the opportunity!!! Prospects are more than welcome to come to one of our regular meetings and meet more people involved, they can ask whatever they need to find out! Litigation list. I believe, that this is totally not necessary, since anybody can call (you guys at FTC or BBB) to find out everything about the business opportunity. I dot want to waste my time on getting the information let alone handing it out, so I can be asked questions which I do not know the answer for and many times will not understand. Earnings disclosures. I present all the numbers and earning potential during the meeting. I explain how the income comes together and answer the questions prospects have. I also have a brochure containing printed figures at different levels of the business, average monthly income for active IBO. I pretty much cover all the aspects of earnings in this business. By the experience, the outline of the earnings potential is plenty enough. Detailed description would get too technical, long and boring. Financial substantiation. I do not provide prospect of any information about my personal income, since it is very individual matter. I believe this is private and performace based. I tell prospects about the lifestyle and rewards available. Thank YOU!
