I'm really upset about the Business Opportunity Rule R511993 that's being proposed! I understand you're trying to cut down on fraud. I understand there are get rich quick frauds schemes out there that need shut down. BUT, you MUST realize that in this form it will HURT honest direct selling business opportunties such as Tastefully Simple also! You'd be making it almost impossible for us to recruit new consultants for our very upfront, ethically run company! We have hand outs that tell up front the cost of joining our company, how many consultants we have, what it takes to do our business, what you get for your kit money, we even have maps that are updated monthly showing how many consultants we have in every state!!! EVERYTHING is laid out. It's updated every year so we have the latest facts, figures, and averages. No hype, it's all there in black and white. I know there ARE companies out there that don't do this, but in trying to get rid of them you'll be hurting companies who've been in direct sales business for YEARS with this proposal. PLEASE DO NOT PASS THIS! You MUST seek out, and work with these HONEST companies, such as Tastefully Simple, to find a way to fairly re-write this proposal!!! We are a member of the Direct Sellers Association, and we strongly feel you're really going to hurt thousands upon thousands of families with this proposal. I urge you to step back and reconsider what a HUGE NEGATIVE impact this proposal will have on us! There has to be a better way to write this to weed out the unfair and deceptive acts done by a few. I urge you to PLEASE reconsider what YOU have written!! YOU WILL BE HARMING MORE PEOPLE THAN YOU INTEND TO HELP!!! Do you realize this proposal WILL DO MORE HARM to HONEST companies doing business than those you seek to rid out for their deceptive, money hungry practices? PLEASE work with companies in the DSA and find a way to write a new proposal that will be fair to us honest companies. This proposal in it's current form will undermine my independent business, it's growth, and the financial welfare of hundreds of thousands of us. This proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993 will keep moms, such as myself, from being able to work and grow an honest home based business while raising a family in an affordable way in a reputable company. PLEASE DO NOT PASS THIS PROPOSAL!! PLEASE WORK WITH THE DSA TO WRITE A FAIR NEW ONE THAT WILL ALLOW HONEST COMPANIES TO CONTINUE TO GROW!!!!
