I have been an IBO with Quixtar since it began and an Amway distributor since 1984. I have achieved the founders platinum level in the business and have helped several other IBO' s be more successful. The educational benefits about owning a business has helped our other traditional businesses too. Not only have I benefitted financially but our whole family has been blessed with better people skills, business skills and attitude skills. We have traveled more than we ever would have and some were all expense trips we qualified for through the marketing plan. When I registered I was given and shown exactly how the business plan worked and how the bonus structure could benefit me if I worked the business. I Inform prospects I am working with the same way and always give them an SA4400 to study the first night. I also explain that they will be in business for themself but not by themself because we help them along with our support team. In quixtar we all show a plan of how the money is made so their is no misunderstanding and why this is not a get rich quick scheme and why this is not a pyramid with limits on how wide they can register or with how much depth they can register. Width and depth in quixtar is unlimited therefore each independent business owner has unlimited potential but only if they want to work the business. This information is available in brochures from quixtar and also online for any prospect. It cost the prospect 68.11 to register along with a choice of starter packs from approx 75.00 to 150.00 -- all of which is money back quarenteed. Therefore waiting the 7day period before registering an IBO is not necessary and would be a hardship on the prospect because generally they have people they want to register too and don't want to wait. Since they have every opportunity to get their money back in 30 day period there is no need to wait for 7 days. Plus it has been my experience that most prospects lay the foundation for their business in the first two weeks after seeing the business by registering friends and family. I think the requirement to provide a litigation list would place a large burden on us as small business owners expecially since we are so highly regarded by the Better Business Bureau and also listed with Dunn and Brad Street. It doesn't seem necessary Earning Disclosures are already part of the Informantion we hand out after 1st showing the business to a prospect. Average incomes for IBO's and average income for each acheivement in the bonus structure are listed in the required brochure and online. Invasion of privacy would be a huge issue if we would be required to give financial statements to prospects. This is not required in any other business. for instance -- Dentists don"t provide finicial statements to students they recruit for dentistry. Career Days at schools only provide average incomes not financial statements. Plus giving references has never been part of starting any kind of business unless the Bank asked for them. Anyway in quixtar we have continuing education meetings where the prospect can meet and talk to at the least 10 other IBOs. At these meetings the prospect gets to learn about other IBO experiences. For instance: a couple on my team speaks at meetings like this all the time. they build the business she worked in a restaurant and he sold bridges for a large company. Now they are doing much better financially. Quixtar is a home based business just like starting any business out of a home. Because the limitations of a pyramid scheme or a multilevel do not exist in Quixtar the burdens of this proposal seem inappropiate. My business would suffer greatly if they are imposed. I'm glad you want to go after the illegal schemes that have hurt people-- I seen what they can do. The proposals made would hurt ligitimate businesses built by small business owners like me with Quixtar. Thanks for listening. Sincerely, Peggy Clausen
