I have been in Amway/Quixtar for 40 years and always found it to be a business of the highest integrity for distributers as well as customers and prospects. It has provided a supplimental income for my family so my wife did not have to have employment outside the home. Some of the regulations on our type of business would really hurt our ability to conduct a viable business. Your 7 day waiting period could be reasonable covered by fair cancellation period. The requirements for financial records and past litigations would be very burdensome and could be covered by simple standardized disclosure form that would apply to all direct sellers. I am sure you want to encourage the "direct sellers" in America and yet maintain reasonable business integrity as well as security for the buyer/prospect.
