I am writing to say that I completely disagree with this proposal. I can not speak for other direct sales companies but I will speak on behalf of Partylite Gifts, a highly respected and well-known direct sales company. Partylite was built from the first consultants who began sharing a wonderful business opportunity with others. Through this type of networking we have become a leader in the candle and home decor industry and still we continue to share the consultant opportunity with anyone and everyone we can. At this time we promote that it is easy to start your own business with Partylite and this makes the decision to join the company a fairly simple one. If this proposal goes through it will be an unneccessary obstacle that new consultants will have to face and I believe that it would bring about uncertainties for those thinking of starting their business with Partylite. My business as a consultant will grow and thrive with each and every new consultant that I bring into this company and I can speak for other consultants when I say that we fear that our own businesses will suffer with this new rule. I would like to propose that this new rule should only apply to new direct sales companies that have only been around a decade or less, not for those companies such as Partylite who are already well-established in multiple countries and who have worked hard to build a respectable company.
