Hello, my wife and I have been independent business owners affiliated with Quixtar for the past ten years. In that time we saved by buying wholesale and supplemented are income by several hundred dollars every month. The proposed seven day wait period would unduly burden a cottage industry like ours and penalize prospective business owners who would want to get started right away. An alternative solution is to offer a money-back guarantee. The requirement for listing references would violate the privacy of other individuals. Also providing litigation disclosures would put independent business owners at a competitive disadvantage by placing their partner organization in an unfavorable light from the beginning. The requirement to calculate and make different disclosures for every income claim is also unduly burdensome. A viable alternative would be to create a standardized income disclosure that would establish a conservative income baseline to share with prospects.
