Hi, I am a 2d Lt in the United States Air Force. The Quixtar business opportunity has been an absolute miracle for my family and I. My wife and I are working hard to provide an unparalleled life style for our family. We understand, and have since the beginning, that it will take hard work and dedication. Nothing great is ever achieved without these 2 elements. I am glad that the FTC is concerned with fraudulent and irresponsible “business opportunities,” and is doing its best to keep everything equitable. It is a shame that there are some who will knowingly take advantage of others in order to further their own cause. This being said, I am grateful that the FTC will do its very best to not inhibit the opportunity that so many have called their “last hope.” For me, this business will give me the means to free up my time so that I can get involved in the ministry of the Gospel of Christ. This is my true desire, and Quixtar will be the means through which I can get started. This business has poured so much value into the lives of so many. IBOs’ lives have been enriched greatly, financially and also morally, through their business. In particular it concerns me that litigation (true or untrue) concerning the business will have to be disclosed to prospects. This WILL plant seeds of doubt in potential business owners’ minds, that may prohibit them from realizing unimaginable dreams. It is unfair to these prospects to insert so much unnecessary and unfounded doubt into their minds. If an accusation was overturned, then why should we allow it to cloud the decision making process and potentially take away an amazing opportunity from a prospect? As Paul Zane Pilzer said, “direct selling provides an unparalleled opportunity for millions of people to take responsibility for their own economic wellness, create long-term financial stability and realize significant wealth, while enriching the lives of untold numbers of others.” I believe direct selling is a powerful positive force in the American economy. It puts great wealth into the hands of INDIVIDUALS, in stead of huge corporations. When the individual is wealthy and has time on their hands, what will he/she do? I believe they will contribute the time and money they have been blessed with to the greater good. This is the thing to which Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have recently committed their time/money. Thousands of wealthy individuals, not corporate giants, is the best thing that can happen to the American Economy. Thank you for considering these comments.
