Dear Sir or Madam: I am against and very very concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. My family relies on the stability of the direct selling industry. Is this another way of threatening our freedom in this country with your new business rule? 7-Day waiting period - Not needed! The Young Living Essential Oils starter kits are fully refundable and non commissionable anyway. Why more paperwork and details here with this proposed ruling? This 7-day waiting period would be DESTRUCTIVE! Litigation info - There is way too much litigation out there - sue happy. Would you like for the people to require all your litigation info to be public prior to elecion time? Innocent or not? References - Don't you think we Americans are smarter than this to do our own research prior to business decisions we make? Do we need the government to hold our hands in our decision making that effects our family income, etc.? How about the identity theft that will be involved here? More time delay too, wouldn't you agree? Cancellation - I am not going to make a business decision on some other folks and their cancellation reasons. Hey, I too have cancelled many direct selling opportunities in the past. Do you think that you would go by that decision I made to make your decisions? Don't we all operate differently? Exemption - this rule places an unreasonable burden on millions of direct selling and network marketing distributors throughout the US. I believe that the propsed application of this rule to my business constitutes an unjustified overreaching! Please reinstate at least a $500 exemption. There are less burdensome alternatives available to achieve your goals. Are you working for us? This proposed rule doesn't appear to be. Sounds like it will be easier to buy furniture, appliances, autos costing thousands of dollars, even easier to buy hand guns or assault rifles than it will be to join a multilevel company. Stop this rule from being put into law!!!!! This unnecessary rule will place alarm about the lefitimacy of companies and their compensation plans, a gross violation of privacy of all distributors, a time-consuming sign-up and disclosure process that may lead to enthusiastic prospects losing their interest and the increase of expenses for both the company and distributor among several other advers effects. Not to mention the unnecessary cost increases that will be placed on products customers simply purchase. You work for us. Be responsible in this decision. Millions are expecting this from you. Respectfully, Dan Ochsner
