Healing Ways Wellness Studio and Resource Center Miller Hill Dental Building 1419 Sundby Road Duluth MN 55816 Dear Sir or Madame, I am writing to you about my deep concerns for my income and my industry that are threatened by BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY RULE R511993 Since the 1970’s I have been passionate about the freedom and potential of direct selling and this business has become my primary income. I value my opportunity to sell products based on integrity and freedom to choose my hours and location. My personal growth in confidence and planning has been invaluable. In this time in our economy, to have a 7-day waiting period for my customers raises unnecessary concerns on their part. It undermines my credibility as an ethical business woman. And it is vastly impractical. Likewise, it is difficult beyond measure to require that I locate the 10 nearest distributors. This is a fast – moving industry and I believe it would be nearly impossible to honestly provide the 10 others closest. Likewise it would be a huge hindrance in my ability to earn my living, to take my time from my business to meet such a detailed and difficult demand for reportage. I do acknowledge that the FTC needs to be aware of unethical companies and distributors in my industry. Yet simply put, this proposed legislation would absolutely cripple my ability to earn my living. In closing, I URGE YOU TO END THIS PROPOSED BILL NOW. Please understand and act firmly to reject this bill. I so need to continue to earn my income with the practical timing and reporting it requires to be successful.
