I think that it is fair for both the prospects, and the legitimate business opportunities, to provide adequate information about their programs. I agree that this would help the prospect to make an educated decision on whether or not the opportunity is for them, while also making it more difficult for the illegitimate opportunities to cover all their bases to avoid being spotted as an obvious scam. I do not, however, feel that waiting seven days is going to benefit either side. If I meet somebody that is looking, searching, praying for something like what I have to offer, and I take them through the process and they hit checkpoint after checkpoint and completely qualify for my team, then at that point they are ready to go, I would not want to kill their excitement by telling them that they now have to wait an extra week due to a rule. They could lose interest in that time and that would be devastating to my business, and to the people that they would have benefitted through the business. Now, instead of making a best friend for life and changing thousands of lives for the better, that person or persons are still looking and are still unsatisfied with their current situation, and I lost the chance to perhaps get my wife's freedom through the excitement that that individual would have created for me. The quixtar opportunity has a 6 month money back guarantee included if the prospects aren't satisfied. Also, providing a list of references with each prospect would be a little shady to some individuals that are already in business for themselves. This would jeopardize their privacy if all of their information was given to each prospect...who knows what kind of person the prospect is, that's why there is a system and a process for each prospect to go through. If the prospect is serious enough to go through the process of getting the information, he/she will have met more than 10 individuals. Finally, providing all of the legal claims from the past 10 years would be a huge disadvantage to Quixtar IBO's. It could potentionally create unnecessary discomfort in the prospect if they misunderstood something, creating false rumors and accusations towards the opportunity or even the IBO doing the prospecting. This would also be a disadvantage to the IBO because if they are talking to a prospect that isn't really interested but won't say so, the IBO just wasted precious time on someone that isn't going to pursue the opportunity instead of being able to go out and find someone else who would be interested in the opporunity. I became an IBO right after a graduated high school, and my experience has been priceless. When I had the opportunity shared with me I recieved adequate information necessary to make an educated decision. I have had friends approached by other business opporunities that weren't provided with such information, so I feel that what the Quixtar opportunity is doing is exactly what it needs to be doing. If I would have been handed a list of references or had a bunch of legal claims thrown in my face, I would not have chosen to pursue this because I know I would need to do that for every person I talked to and it would have been overwhelming, if not even intimidating. And by not pursuing this opportunity I would have missed out on meeting the greatest individuals in the world and learning a lot of life's lessons that are crucial to becoming everything God set me here on earth to be. So I am very thankful that there wasn't a waiting period, list of refereces or legal claims I had to deal with coming out of the gate, and speaking from the perspective of the prospect that I will be meeting tomorrow, I am glad that there still isn't!
