Hello, I've been an Independent Business Owner (IBO) for 18 months. I'm a rare case. I read the "Rich Dad Poor Dad" series by Robert Kiyosaki. Kiyosaki who is not connected to Quixtar recommended that the only true way to finacially secure the future of my family was via ownership of my own business, and that network marketing was the best option. I took his advice and researched what to look for in a networking type of business and found Quixtar to be the Royals Royce of the industry. Once again i'm rare in that i pursued this industry as opposed to being recruited. This is a tough business (as is any business) and the added burdens being proposed to our industry, because of all the scams out there, will only slow our growth towards our goals. I agree with combing out the pretenders. However the teeth on the comb need not be so tight that they cripple the businesses that are up to par. Momentum in any business is HUGE!!! This 7 day waiting period will hinder our momentum greatly! #1. A list of 10 references will be a complete violation of privacy. #2. Quiet honestly most people in our industry are not doing the work so they blame the business. A new couple who is excited will end up talking to a negative, non-active, dream stealer. The couple will be blown out before they even give the business a chance. That is not responsible reseach. I don't believe Microsoft is required to disclose to it's new employees of it's past lawsuits, so why should we? Or any traditional franchise for that matter. A business should not be singled out. We leave the prospects with legal documents stating how much the average IBO makes ($115/mo). That should suffice with regards to any income claims or personal income claims. Thank you for your concers Sean Parr
