Comments:
Any proposed rule should include a requirement that MLM businesses disclose ALL the facts about how and where the money is made. They should be required to disclose that distributors at certain pin levels DO make money off the book and tape and tool business as well as the rally and function business. Prospects should be given a chart showing how much money is typically made at each pin level from SELLING products as opposed to selling the private label books, tapes and tools of their upline diamond or whatever they call it. As you know I'm referring mostly to the Amway, Quixtar, It's not Amway this year business. God knows what name they will come up with next. Far far too many couples and singles for that matter have been taken for not only a financial ride but also a psychological trip by these MLM businesses. These big pins are nothing but leeches who live the high life off the dreams of small, unaware dreamers who just want to make good in life. Don't let the MLM lobby or the Dexter Yager/ Bill Britt/ Devos cabal make this process a mockery. Make some hard fast enforceable rules that protect the little guys from these MLM sharks.
