I signed up in Amway in November, 1967.At that time I was an attorney in private practice and continued to work Amway part time until 1981 when I sold my practice and went full time. I was at the Diamond level when I went full time making about $100k per year in the Amway business. I was helping more people in Amway than I was able to help in the law...this of course was a personal decision that I now know was the best decision for me and my family.I am able to be with my family more and help others find a way to supplement their incomes. I teach my group to stay part time at least until they become Diamonds. In September 1999 the Amway Corp. agreed with the field leaders like myself and opened a sister corporation, Quixtar.com, which we felt was more compatible with the 21st Century being based on the use of the computer to do our business, yet retaining as always the personal relationships essential to a successful part time business. Having been in so long I have seen it all.Company after company has tried to copy our plan which the FTC approved in the early 70's. Not one immitator was willing to comply with the integrity of our plan...no one makes any money off of anyone below them. THAT is the rule in our business...if I make more than you it is because I have helped more people succeed than you have...that is what I saw in the beginning and have enjoyed all these years...that is the reason for all the fly by nites you all have to deal with. You see, if you can't make money from your plan you have to charge a fee to get in that will provide the income you want...to get in Quixtar costs around $70 and most of that is for some products to see why our business works..great products of value. Money back if don't agree. Always the way since 1959 when Amway first opened its doors. Of course we use the identical sales plan in Quixtar that all of us grew up with in Amway. Our sales plan is pure genius because again only the people who work and help others succeed will succeed themselve...sounds like a sales pitch until you take the time to check out our records over these past four decades...you can not fake success or be built on flimflam for that length of time, period. I welcome your questions as I have more interest in getting rid of the cheats than you do. Your Proposal to clean up the industry is so wrong...you are using a hammer to kill a fly on your forehead. We are "the" company to study inorder to promote the need for our role in the direct selling business..please learn how we operate and then you will know how to eliminate the corruption...most of the negatives online about Quixtar are in fact provable failures in our business, failures because of the lack of integrity as exposed by the filth they write to do all they can to justify their failure by blaming our way of doing business. Your disclosure document will scare every innocent prospect into never joining Quixtar which is their best option for help...for example, you could use me as a poster boy for Quixtar as a "reference", but if you are a mailman or mechanic and need extra income, you would look at me, my background and success and decide you could not do Quixtar cause you are not an educated lawyer..besides you have never made $100k before..on and on...Do you see the point? I talk to my prospects from every background and make them comfortable with me as a decent American not a rich lawyer Quixtar hero! My results like the company are the proof of my comments. We know how and teach how to relate to people, put their interests first and as a result are very successful..the rub comes when you only hear from the ones that want our success but are not willing to earn it...I hope this is helping you see how devasting it would be to throw the baby out with the bath water by treating "the problem" as solvable by down right embarrassing requirements of honest Americans with a history of helping and complying with the rules since in our case 1959. Thank you for help
