This letter is in regards to the Pending Business Opportunity Rule: R511993 I have been a part of the QUIXTAR BUINESS for 31 years. We have provided our family a solid part time business for 27 of those years. When we origianlly saw the marketing program. We were given a very good amount of literature. On this literature, there was the name of the business, the address and a city and state info. They told us up front there was a money back guarentee. Today, we also give out literature AND we have several internet sites for our prospect to view. As they view the Quxitar website, they see that we have a 100% money back garentee for the first 180 days. As prospects view our marketing plan, we tell them right away, this isn't an overnight success business, this is a business that involves work on your part and team effort on my part. We work with our prospects in several different capacities before they actually are invited to be a part of our buiness. Not everyone qualifies for the team, so it's important they know that they must ask to learn the next step. Usually this process takes between 3-10 days. Our cost to get started is from $45.00- $126.00. They would be registering online so they can choose. There are NO hidden charges. Quixtar keeps it very simple. I f the independent business owner decides the business isn't for them, we just fax in their name and # and address and Quixtar takes them out of the business and send them a refund for the registgering amount they were originally charged. It is a very easy process and the refund is quickly returned to them. In this business life, sometimes things cannot work the ay you want them to. I believe that if you stop someone from registering for 7 days, in most cases would be detrimental to our business. After we give them all the info they ask for and they are ready to started on their own venture....they would have a challenge having to wait to get started. If I wanted to buy a franchise and I researched the place, I would want to have the ability to start that business AS SOON as I wanted to. This will hurt our industry. Secondly, if you make us provide names and addresses of our groups around the area, this would be invading other's privacy! I can't see how that could help at all. Prety much as soon as they see our marketing plan, they come to a get-together and that's the time to meet others' that are involved! WE are very experienced at doing all of this. One question....who is going to patrol this, will you be hiring more government employees? Will they monitor ALL of the different business? This is a lot to do and if you are looking at getting numbers and a monthly report, that's just more paperwork for the govenment and more money out of the tax payer. Our Quixtar business is a model in Network Marketing. We monitor internally and of people are doing things incorrectly they get a certain amount of days to fix things OR THEY ARE DROPPED as Independent Business Owners. We will not allow unlawful on unethical practices in our business and this is monitored by an independent board. Quixtar takes care of this and their reputation is on the line. We have a business relationship with Barnes and Noble, CIRCUIT CITY, Office Depot and thousands of other brnad name store and we would be very foolish to hurt our reputation in this manner. Self monitoring has been working for our Quixtar business. Your new Ruling #511993 would stop lots of growth and more people on welfare and more families in need of government monies. We are helping people make immediate cash and helping them support their families. This has been a blessing to many people
