As a Independent Business Owner, I do not agree with the proposed rules. I fully understand that the rules are being considered to protect us from fraud, but these rules are going hurt my and other IBO's business. The purpose of being an Independent Business Owner is that I don't need the employees. The proposed rules will require the time that I use to build my business to research for prospects. It is a business opportunity and the prospects have to do thier work and research for the risks. When I go for a job interview, for example, the company does not present me their 10 years history of profit and loss. I have to do the research about the company to prepare myself for the interview. The business should be the same way. The one is serious about owning a business would educate him/herself before putting anything on risk. My team of IBO's provide FTC approved literature to our prospects and provide them with the websites to do the research. My team does business on part-time bases. We have full time jobs. To research the information and put it together for the prospects is very time consuming. Six to ten hours that I spend building my business would take to do the extra administeration work. Quixtar corporation provides all the ligitimate literature and websites to the prospects. I know we are trying to save the public from fraud, even though Quixtar provides everything to the prospects, but the proposed rules are harsh will hurt my business tremendously. I would hope that FTC will keep us, the business owners, in mind as well. I do not agree with the proposed rules. They should not take place. I really appreciate FTC's effort. Thank you.
