I have been in this buisness for a about a year now, and this buisness has saved me for going into debt. In the next two years I plan on retireing off of the income that I will be generating. When I registered into this buisness (Quixtar and WWDB affiliated IBO) I was given all of the information needed to make an informed decision about it. I was also looking into some other buisness oportunities and none of the other buisnesses even tried to give you information that you would need to make a decision on them. Plus they tried to make it sound as if no work was required at all. This buisness explained exactally what you needed to do and how long it would take. I am in agreement for the creation of this law, But I do see a few things that would universally hurt this industry. 1. The requirement of the prospect to wait 7 days before registering would create the feel in people that you want them to go out and try and find somthing wrong with it. that would make people think that inherently there is somthing wrong with this industry, not just a group of buisnesses that are creating problems for the rest. That would lower the amount of interested people dramatically and even cause people that already own their own buisness thru these methods to give up on them. This would dramatically reduce my ability to create a profit. Plus whenever I signed up a new IBO they would be unable to registar their family until they had a 7 day wait causeing them to get dicouraged and give up. Solution: Have it so that only the buisnesses that DO NOT offer a full refund of your registration costs have this part of the law in effect. Then you would still protect people from things that sound to good to be true (and arent). 2. The Requirement to Provide references. This would KILL my buisness. (my part anyway.) Because I would go out, spend the time and effort to find and qualify a prospect, give them all of the information, get them ready and willing to go out and find people, to grow and be a better person, And ten they would got to the reference list and talk to someone out there that is better looking and a smooth talker (who would never have to go out and find people or do any of the had work of finding and qualifing people, just sit at home and wait for them to show up.) Who would imediatly show them that they are richer and better then me. easily convincing people to join with them instead of me. Plus the invasion of privacy of having everyone know that I am at a place doing this And having to explain and prove exactally how much money I am earning. When at this point I am working a minimum wage job and earning enough thru this to be able to live on that wage. But at this point I am not earning enough money to inspire people. They would just go to someone else who is earning more. Solution: Remove this section. 3.Litigation List. Okay, you want us to provide a list of all of the lawsuits that were ever brought against anyone that is in this buisness. Every person who is an IBO can disregard our code of ethics and get in trouble for it. This company kicks out people who are not following its rules and regulations. The problem lies in the fact that the person who enacted the crime allerted the company when they were sued for doing somthing illegal, subsaqently they were removed from its registary. We would have to inform them of all suits brought against the company even if the suit was false and proven wrongful. And even if it was what one individual chose to do, not following the guidance of the other people who were sucessful in the buisness. Solution: Remove this section. Finally I believe that it would be wholly intrusive on all of our privacies for this law to require that we prove everything that we make to every person that we show this opportuinity to.
