I completely agree with the idea to put rules in place to prevent fraudulent opportunities. I have run into many people that have been the victims of "money making schemes" or "pyramid schemes" throughout my first year as an IBO. It is frustrating and I do feel for those people as my own family has had the same problem in the past. However I agree whole heartedly with Quixtar's and the IBOAI board's solutions to some of the ideas presented in this law. Recently our team of IBO's has been creating alot of new business and doing in a way that it both ethical, but also streamlined. Every prospect is given all the information required and more if asked. I personally have given prospects phone numbers of people they can call if they've asked for them, but from an entire year I have only been asked once (1). I feel that requiring such things as mandatory references, as well as the 7 day waiting period will slow the process of business greatly. I myself got started 3 days after first seeing the opportunity and know that if I was forced to wait it would have affected my excitement. Our team is having great success with people that get started fast and run with the opportunity. I hope my comments and those of other IBO's have been helpful and do get taken into great consideration.
