To whom it may concern, I have been doing this busines since 11-16-79. I saw the plan in the days of Amway, and evolved into the Quixtar business in 1999. I am full time at the business and have been since 8-14-81. Therefore I believe I have sound and unique insight into the proposed ruling and how it would not only affect my business, but those whom I help in my orgaization, and the rest of the Quixtar IBO's in other groups. I have always stressed throughout any verbal presentation that this is an opportunity for anyone from any walk of life to have a business of their own and it will pay them in direct proportion to the work and effort they put into it as well as getting the counsel of those who have been successful in their upline, me included, to guide and educate them in this business just as they would get training in any other business to become more professional at it. There is no get rich scheme. There is work. Consistant work. When someone sees the marketing plan and wants to start, they are excited and want to share this business and the products immediately with freinds and family. To have to tell them they have to wait for seven days would severly impact the registration rate. Most want to start right away, or within 24 -48 hours. They have no risk anyway because we provide a money back guarantee that while is stated for 30 days, is actually closer to 60 days or 2 months from the time they register. It therefore serves no purpose to make them wait. It would only inhibit the new persons ability to get off to a fast start and grow their business and the ripple effect would cause the slow down to a crawl on the entire future of his business as future downline must also wait to grow. NOT GOOD! VERY DESTRUCTIVE! As far as the referances proposal, it too could and will easily cause havic. People will try to steal others prospects. Who knows what can and would be said without any accountablilty or liability about someone to steal away their prospect. Privacey issues are also at stake. We have functions both during the sponsoring process and then after they start where they can meet and talk to people and ask anything they want. Referances: Bad idea! Good for a contracter to see a finished job, bad for this type of business. It is an intangeble, "success" which varies from person to person. The idea of a litigation list is laughable: That presumes there is merit in every law suit. Guilty before proven innocent is the result. Why should my business suffer because some goofball wants to file a false claim against another IBO who may have done nothing wrong? Pertaining to Earnings disclosure we not only provide an sa4400 which is form showing the incomes as per Quixtars lawyers, (credible), but also on the registration itself it spells out the average income of all IBO's. The requirement for financial substantion, violates my personal financial privacey. In my case I am full time and people know it, so my lifestyle gives them an accurate picture of what I make but the specific figure is non of their business. The requirement does potentially cause a bigger problem for new or relatively new people. Because when asked what they are making, a prospect is really asking " what will I make over the same period of time?" That can not be answered, because we don't know the REAL effort out into the business by the IBO being asked the question. Also, did the IBO ask for or get or listen to the training to become better at his business? What are the quality of the prospects and downline that IBO has put into the business? They all affect his success and income rate. To then use his information to give to a potential prospect as an real gage for that prospects success is not only not credible, but just outright misleading. That is not what we want. We want them to know their success will be based on their effort and the knowledge they obtain & apply to building thier business consistantly. Thanks! Rob Morrison
