To Whom It May Concern: From my personal experience, I have been an Independent Business Owner for many years. Although I have not been able to reach the goals I would like to, I do have that option and have met various milestones along the way. My business allows me to operate a side business when it is convenient for me. This is the best business to get into. They keep everyone well informed, which allows us to make informed decisions. Anyone interested in their own financial future is able to understand that the Quixtar business opportunity is not a "get rich quick" plan, that hard work is required, and that there is no guarantees of success. This information is completely disclosed before entering into any agreements with Quixtar. The requirement of a 7-day waiting period is absolutely ludicrous. This is a fast paced business opportunity. In our high-tech, fast paced world, it is imperative that we are able to offer people something that keeps up with today's society. An imposed waiting period would simply cause too much frustration and loss of momentum, which will make people fail rather than succeed. People want to have access and utilize the Internet now, today, not be told they have to wait. As for the requirement to provide references, this is virtually impossible for me. I live is Southern California. There are hundreds and thousands of people that are affiliated with Quixtar and I would have no way of obtaining such a list. The best list I can give people and do, is that of a referral. Simply for confidentiality and proprietary reasons, I would never disclose other businesses. The requirement to provide a "Litigation List" is my own personal business and no one else’s. If it is a matter of public record, then people can search the public records for information. Otherwise, this is a violation of my privacy. The requirement for specific earnings disclosures is not a problem. Quixtar has provided us with information to share with everyone concerning earnings potential and gross monthly averages. Finally, I do believe there is some value in monitoring and tracking illegitimate businesses. These affect people in such a way that is extremely disheartening. I've heard so many stories of people getting into the wrong business and lost all of their monies. What is needed is to protect legitimate businesses such as Quixtar so that people get involved in the right business that will ensure their financial future not take it away. Thank you for your consideration.
