FTC, My wife & I have been involved with Quixtar for 1 1/2 years. We have accomplished many goals to this point and look to this business as our future. We admire the people and the system as much or more than the money. "The ability to have a free enterprize system is great. When we were rigister we were given company overviews, earning potential of the business plan with "average IBO" earnings which all helped us to make a decision to get involved. We do the same with all our potential prospects. Part of our presentation is "This is not a get quick rich scheme" but a 2-5 year business plan. We spent 67.00 to register and it was made optional to us to get a starter kit. We chose to do that. We now share with potential people the starting cost to register is $62.00 and lend them cds and literature until they are earning enought to choose to purchase themselves. I have a number of concerns about the new proposal. 1) the 7-day waiting period. We usually don't register someone for almost a month after they are interested, showing them the business work before they are signed up, but I believe that is their choice. If they want to register they should be given the opportunity to do that. I also believe that their excitement and ability to sign people up is their choice not having to wait 7 days. I think this waiting period need to be eliminated especially since we give a money back guarantee at Quixtar. 2) Providing references - If I have to provide references they might choose to sign up with someone else affecting my business. I also believe this affects their privacy as an IBO that might be on a list. I disagree with this. Please eliminate this area. 3) "Litigation List" - This is just insane. If I own a real estate business do I have to give them a list of all litigation regarding real estate? If I own a kids fitness business do I have to provide a litigation list? A list of the entire IBO force across america? This would dramatically affect our business. Everytime cigarettes are sold do litigation lists have to be provided to the buyer? Many of these are only alleged. What happen to innocent until proven guilty. Honest companies like ours would be opened up to false accusations while dishonest companies continue to simply ignore the rule. I think this is would have a direct affect on our busienss even if our organization doesn't have any litigation. This is wrong. 4) Speific earnings disclosures - I think the way to handlde this is similar to the way we already do this "the average IBO" makes ...." I don't think this area is even meaningful. Each person sees themself differently and sees the potential of themselves not as being average. 5) Requirment for financial substantiation - we often share our monthly and yearly incomes. We are not trying to hide anything. We do often share lifestyle differences with new people so they can see potential. I believe it is also my privacy right not to have to disclose my income if I choose not too. I don't have to do that in any other job. If I am a teacher I don't have to do that. If I am in sales I don't have to do that. Why here. I think it infringes on my rights. Again, please don't harm honest companies. Just go after dishonest people. Thanks for the input.
