My name is Mike Nykile and I'm an Independent Business Owner powered by Quixtar. I'm writing to comment on the FTC's recent proposal. My wife and I are grateful for the opportunity to have been able to build and develop our business. I commend the FTC on the heart behind the proposal but I'm concerned that some of the proposed requirements would greatly impede our ability to build our business. My concerns surround these requirements: 1. The requirement of the 7 day waiting period. While I'm in complete agreement that prospects be given credible information, I want to ask that the waiting period be eliminated. Requiring a waiting period would hurt my business. 2. The requirement to provide 10 references. This would infringe on the privacy of these IBO's whose names are given as references. 3. The regulation to disclose past litigation. This would open up Quixtar to false claims that would then need to be disclosed. I'm asking that you eliminate this requirement. While I understand the reasoning behind many of these requirements, they would hurt those of us who are trying to conduct business in a professional, ethical manner. I appreciate your consideration. Thank You!
